Horsetail decoction has diuretic and kidney-cleansing effects. It helps to dissolve kidney sand and small stones when consuming 2\u20133 cups of tea daily. It is a general metabolic regulator and increases the resilience of connective tissue. It acts favourably on bacterial infections and inflammation of the renal pelvis. It has blood-stopping and cystitis-soothing effects. In cases of kidney cysts, it is recommended to drink the tea and also apply the herb externally as a compress to the kidney area. It is also effective against calcium deposits in the body.<\/p>\n
It is suitable as a supplementary treatment for joint problems and elevated uric acid levels. The tea is prepared by a short (2\u20133 minute) infusion.
