To understand what tea tree oil is good for and how it can benefit our skin, it's important to know what it actually is. Tea tree oil (also known as manuka oil) is an essential oil extracted from the leaves of the Australian tea tree (Lat. Melaleuca alternifolia), whose beneficial effects have been known for thousands of years. It has been an integral part of the traditional medicine of the Australian Aborigines.
As it is a highly concentrated oil with an intense fragrance, it is used exclusively for external use and often as an ingredient in creams, ointments, shampoos and body lotions. Tea tree oil, when used regularly and over a long period of time, can significantly improve the appearance and overall condition of the skin. It soothes dry skin, reduces itching and irritation. Due to its antiseptic properties, it helps with oily skin, oily hair and dandruff problems.
Use in everyday skin care: Application is very simple - the cream is easily integrated into your daily skin care routine. Apply a small amount to the affected area and massage thoroughly until fully absorbed. As with our other creams, massage helps the absorption of the active ingredients.
