Lutein is a carotenoid pigment found in high concentration in the macula of the eye. It acts as a powerful antioxidant, protecting the eyes from oxidative stress and harmful blue light. Free lutein is the most natural form, which is also found in food – unlike lutein ester, the body doesn't need to convert it, so it better absorbed and utilised.

Benefits of microencapsulated lutein

Lutein is an unstable substance, so in this preparation it has been stabilised by microencapsulation. The visible orange micropellets in the tablet protect the lutein from degradation and improve its bioavailability.

Active ingredients in 1 tablet:

• Microencapsulated free lutein 12 mg (equivalent to 24 mg lutein ester)

• Vitamin A: 800 µg (100 % NRV)

• Vitamin E: 10 mg (83 % NRV)
