Composition: xylitol (E967).
Xylitol belongs to the so-called sugar alcohols and is found in small amounts naturally in fruit, vegetables and birch wood. Currently, it is most often obtained from plant sources, such as corn. It has pleasant sweet taste with no unpleasant aftertaste and is suitable for a wide range of uses in the kitchen.
Features approximately a third lower energy value just like ordinary sugar, whilst its sweetness remains comparable. It is suitable for sweetening both drinks and food, and does not contribute to tooth decay.
Application: Suitable for baking, cooking and sweetening drinks. In recipes, it can fully replace classic sugar, including cases where its volume is also important.
Dosage: It is used in the same quantity as ordinary sugar. It is recommended not to exceed a daily intake of approximately 30–50 g, especially when first used.
Warning: Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect. Not suitable for dogs – it may be toxic to them.
