With a predisposition to diabetes, it is possible to maintain and support a balanced state by regulating diet.
Composition: Nettle leaf, bilberry leaf, dandelion root, common chicory root, St. John's wort.
Content of one level tablespoons (3 g):
0.90 g dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale F.H.Wigg.; radix),
0.78 g of stinging nettle leaves (Urtica dioica L. and Urtica urens L.; folium),
0.54 g of St John's Wort herb (Hypericum perforatum L.; herba),
0.45 g dried bilberry leaf (Vaccinium myrtillus L.; leaf),
0.33 g chicory root (Cichorium intybus L.; radix).
Preparation: Pour one level tablespoon (3 g) of tea mixture into 1 cup (approx. 2.5 dl) of boiling water, let it steep for 45 minutes with the lid on, then strain.
Application: Dessert 5 minutes after the main meal, preferably without seasoning.
Storage: After opening, keep out of reach of children, in a cool, dry place, well sealed.
Warning: Patients with gallstones must not consume the tea. It must not be taken concurrently with warfarin-containing blood-thinning medications (e.g. Syncumar®, Marfarin®). High blood pressure and heart medications can be taken 2 hours before or after drinking the tea. Children under 12 years of age and pregnant or breastfeeding women must not drink the tea without consulting a doctor.
