The role of iodine in the body
Iodine is essential trace element, participating in hundreds of biochemical processes in the body. It is especially essential for production of thyroid hormones (thyroxine – T4 and triiodothyronine – T3).

Points of interest regarding origin:
The spring is located in Sausage roll (Hungary) in depth 530 metres. This is about Fossilised Oligocene seawater, old 20–25 million years. The healing power of the local salt spring is documented since 1710.
Water is pumped from current well from 1949, and in the year 2012 obtained the right to use the designation „Magyar Termék®“ (Hungarian Product).
