Carob powder is a popular alternative to cocoa in healthy eating. In appearance and consistency, it is very similar to cocoa, but it naturally has sweeter taste and doesn't contain Theobromine, which makes it suitable even for more sensitive consumers.
Carob is obtained from the pods of the carob tree, which are thoroughly cleaned after harvesting, dried for approximately 150 minutes at 90 °Cand then finely ground into a powder.

Carob is naturally rich in Fibre it has a sweet taste, so it can be used as Cocoa substitute without the need for additional sweetening.
