Manuka honey comes from the flowers of the plant Leptospermum scoparium, which grows exclusively in New Zealand. The flowers of this plant bloom only for a short period of the year, which makes this honey a rare and limited product. It is characterised by fine, creamy consistency, sweet taste with a subtle caramel note and a distinct aroma.
The key ingredient is methylglyoxal (MGO™), which is naturally present in this honey and contributes to its specific properties. Indication MGO 250+ minimum content 250 mg/kg, which guarantees its quality and a standardised level of effectiveness.
Manuka honey is naturally rich in antioxidants, enzymes and other beneficial substances, which support the body’s overall vitality and the immune system.
MGO level:
MGO 150+ (UMF 7+) – basic support for the body
MGO 250+ (UMF 10+) – moderate level of activity
MGO 514+ (UMF 15+) – a high level of activity
Application: it is recommended to take 1 teaspoon 1–3 times daily, ideally 30 minutes before a meal. It can be eaten on its own or added to tea, porridge or a smoothie, or used as natural sweetener. It is also suitable for outdoor use on the skin or as an ingredient in cosmetic products.
