Dulse (Palmaria palmata) is a reddish-purple seaweed belonging to the most popular sea vegetables of the Atlantic Ocean. It is characterised by its delicate texture and naturally distinct umami flavour, making it a tasty addition to many dishes. It is ideal for salads, soups, pasta or wok dishes. After soaking, it can be briefly pan-fried or dry-roasted, which further intensifies its flavour. It also serves excellently as a food decoration.
